From Tuesday 12th to Sunday 17th April 2011, Milan become the capital of design. At Euroluce Foscarini presents fifteen new products and four new Diesel with Foscarini products on a multimedia stand designed by Ferruccio Laviani.
All the new products are the result of partnerships with 13 designers, young talents and well-known designers on the international scene. The new products on show – each one an expression of different sensibilities and cultural reference points – are presented by the voice of each designer, who will describe the birth and development of each design in a video.
At Superstudio Più – one of the most exciting events at Fuorisalone – there is Metamorphosis, extremely theatrical choreography in which over 450 lamps that are deconstructed, reconstructed, reinterpreted and repeated in 22 surprising creations. Metamorphosis is the surprising installation by Vicente Garcia Jimenez in partnership with Francesco Morosini (sound) and A.J. Weissbard (lighting design).
Relics from the next future, is the event in which Diesel returns to Superstudio Più. Here furnishing elements and Diesel lights are presented to the visitor as relics, memories of an age that in reality has not yet passed, becoming a metaphor for modern living.
The flower vase, an object that is increasingly explored and reinterpreted by designers, architects and artists, was the protagonist of the first cover of Inventario, the editorial project promoted and supported by Foscarini. Today, over 50 vases decorated by a master flower-arranger will give life to “Di vaso in fiore”, an exhibition over a month long at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum. This is an important event for Foscarini, which confirms its commitment to promoting creativity, research and innovation through internationally important cultural initiatives, like the Venice Art and Architecture Biennale, which the company has sponsored since 2008.
